Santa's Reindeer - Christmas Jamboree, by Santa's Reindeer FLAC album
The Kiboomers! Reindeer song.
In traditional festive legend, Santa Claus's reindeer pull a sleigh through the night sky to help Santa Claus deliver gifts to children on Christmas Eve. The commonly cited names of the eight reindeer are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen. They are based on those used in the 1823 poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas" (commonly called "The Night Before Christmas") by Clement Clarke Moore, arguably the basis of the reindeers' popularity.

customary bubbly legend, Santa Claus' reindeer pull a sleigh during that time sky to help Santa Claus convey presents to kids on Christmas Eve. The normally refered to names of the eight reindeer are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen. They depend on those utilized as a part of the 1823 ballad "A Visit from St. Nicholas" (generally called "The Night Before Christmas"), ostensibly the premise of the reindeers' popularityThe persisting fame of the Christmas tune "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" has prompted Rudolph frequently. There are many reindeer that are inhabitants of Santa’s North Pole. And, many of them don’t have names at all. But, the commonly named ones used in the story ‘A Visit From Saint Nicholas’ are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen.
Bonus Tidbits: All of Santa’s reindeer should technically be females. Male reindeer lose their antlers at the start of winter, while females keep theirs until spring, so it’s unlikely that during Christmas the team would be male. But we're also talking about magic reindeer here. Donner and Blitzen originally started out as Dunder and Blixem. Not very appealing for Donner, is it? I don’t think he’d take kindly to the constant Dunder-head jokes he’d be subjected to. Done in Paint Tool SAI & Photoshop CS3. Do not copy, alter or reuse without permission
The first reference to Santa's flying reindeer was in an 1823 poem by Clement C. Moore entitled "A Visit from St. Nicholas. The poem is also known as "The Night Before Christmas. Rudolph first appeared in a 1939 poem by Robert L. May that was published in a Montgomery Ward Christmas book. In the book, Rudolph was originally an outcast because of his bright, red nose. However, Santa enlisted his services to guide his sleigh on an exceptionally foggy night. The story of Rudolph was made into a television show and feature film.
