Birthed in the democratisation of synth music around the early ‘70s, when some adventurous musicians were able to afford legendary models such as the VCS3, the Synthi AKS by EMS, the Mini-Moog, or the ARP 2600 and Odyssey models, Musiques Electroniques en France 1974-1984 follows a range of less commercially viable but, arguably more intriguing, trajectories of NWW-listed. artists such as Heldon and Patrick Vian thru to cosmic downbeats by Pascal Comelade and Victor Nubla, and the outer space abstractions of Camisole, whose Dominique Grimaud coincidentally compiled the whole thing.

A1 Back To Heldon (1974). A3 Bar Electric (1981).

This compilation in 2 volumes aims at introducing the pioneers of electronic music, who are generally little known or completely anonymous, to the public.
