What a Friend We Have in Jesus" is a Christian hymn originally written by preacher Joseph M. Scriven as a poem in 1855 to comfort his mother who was living in Ireland while he was in Canada. The tune to the hymn was composed by Charles Crozat Converse in 1868. William Bolcom composed a setting of the hymn.

LyricsWhat a Friend We Have in Jesus. Ernest Tubb, The Texas Troubadours.

Jesus knows our every weakness, Take it to the Lord in prayer. 3. Are we weak and heavy-laden, Cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge- Take it to the Lord in prayer; Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer; In His arms He’ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there. Saviour, master and friend, what a friend we have in you. I was so lost until this morning my daily devotional online with Pastor Dave of Time of Grace Ministry drew me right back to where I should be. Down on my knees.

Ernest Dale Tubb (February 9, 1914 – September 6, 1984), nicknamed the Texas Troubadour, was an American singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of country music. His biggest career hit song, "Walking the Floor Over You" (1941), marked the rise of the honky tonk style of music. Just give me one more memory that's all I ask of you To see you once again would mean a lot to me We'll pretend I'm just a friend that you once knew So please be there and give me one more memory Now hello darling, I'm just passing through this way Thought I'd call you up, I. haven't long to stay If you'll meet me in our same old meetin' place I promise you that I won't speak of yesterdays Just give me one more memory Now I respect the choice you made so long ago And if you're happy dear that's all I need to know I'm not.

Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge; take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer! In his arms he'll take and shield thee; thou wilt find a solace there. Другие тексты песен "Ernest Tubb".
