AFI - Burials FLAC album

AFI's Burials is the latest in a long string of uninteresting records from this California band. While I'm not a big fan of the group's early stuff, at least LPs like Sing The Sorrow had a modicum of aggression or excitement.

AFI (also referred to as The Blood Album) is the self-titled tenth studio album by American rock band AFI. It was released on January 20, 2017, through Concord Bicycle Music. The album release includes four limited sleeve art and vinyl color variants, corresponding to each of the four members of AFI, and associated with each of the four blood groups (A, O, B and AB).

Burials is just a continued stepping stone in that regard. The same hooks and whoa-oh-oh's that have been the cornerstone of every set staple in their discography for the past two decades are still as abundant as ever, the only difference is that that backing atmosphere has now been pushed into the forefront.

Listen free to AFI – Burials (The Sinking Night, I Hope You Suffer and more). 2013 release, the ninth studio album from the multi-platinum Alt-Rock band and their first for Republic Records. The Cali-based band recorded the album with producer Gil Norton (Pixies, Patti Smith, Foo Fighters) at East West Studios in Los Angeles. The record was mixed by Andrew Scheps (Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers).

With Burials, Havok and AFI don't just bury the castle of wrecked relationships, they put to rest any notions that they aren't kings of their dystopian rock kingdom. The Sinking Night kicks the album off with roaring drums and of course superb AFI singing (there's not too much to say about the intro it's just good and that's about it :)) I Hope you Suffer is next, it's the first single from the album, it's got vicious unclean vocals mixed with yet again a. marvelous vocal performance by mister Davey Havok. It's also probably the heaviest on the album.

Sound - 8 " Burials " is the band's 9th album, containing 13 tracks and clocking in at just under 50 minutes. The songs " I Hope You Suffer " and " 17 Crimes " were released as singles. No Resurrection " starts out with the coolest bass/guitar intro I think I've ever heard on an AFI track – it manages to be a little bit punk rock and a little bit goth-rock in just the right combination. 17 Crimes," which is the second single from the album, is probably the closest thing to an actual punk rock song on the album though the lyrics are a plaintive croon vs. A snarl you expect from punk rock.
