The Sights and Sounds of Esquivel! Esquivel. Exploring New Sounds in Stereo. Infinity in Sound, Vol. 1. Esquivel. Four Rooms (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). 2. The Genius of Esquivel.

The aptly titled "Exploring New Sounds in Stereo" demonstrates the intricate arrangements so typical of his work, and it showcases effects that were heard for the first time and anticipated tricks that would become common years later. It was also a way to introduce listeners to different styles and genres of music; with his whimsical style, he could be called Mexico's Leroy Anderson, due to the similarity of his compositions and arrangements to those of that American composer. Johnnie Camacho's production brings out the best in Esquivel and his orchestra, and the remastered sound of this CD brings an added dimension to the music. It should serve as an introduction to various musical genres for fans and casual listeners who want to expand their horizons. This is actually "Exploring New Sounds in Stereo" AND the "Strings Aflame" album. Sound quality is generally very good.

Any comments on the sound quality? Music is superb, but curious about others' reviews. I do not notice anything special or magic as expected from this label and the retail prices. Just happened to listen accidentally afterwards another LP, more quiet than this one.
