Bobbie Gentry and Glen Campbell is a studio album by American singer-songwriters Bobbie Gentry and Glen Campbell. The album spawned two hit singles and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. Gentry toured briefly with Campbell and performed on a number of American and British television programs and specials.
Like Gentry, however, Campbell had come from rural poverty; he had left home as a teen to join his uncle’s band, eventually pitching up in LA to work as a highly versatile session guitarist. He had also toured with The Beach Boys in the mid-60s, subbing for Brian Wilson. Glen Campbell and producer All Delory have been upfront on why a second duets album between Bobbie and Glen was scrapped after being more than halfway recorded. Glen’s second wife, Billie, was intensely jealous of exotic, beautiful Bobbie. The tabloids were ripe with rumors of an affair.
In September 1968, Gentry was paired with Glen Campbell and the duo released a collaboration album, Bobbie Gentry and Glen Campbell. The album spawned two singles, "Mornin' Glory" and "Let It Be Me". Gentry's fifth studio album Touch 'Em with Love was released in July 1969. Touch 'Em with Love" was released as the first single and "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" was released as the second single in Europe. Fancy, Gentry's sixth studio album, was released in April 1970.

Bobbie Gentry would soon become a regular guest on Glen Campbell's genial television variety show, where her pantsuited, beehived country-pop bombshell image belied her delicate, sweet voice and smart, blues-tinged songwriting. This album is well worth seeking out for fans of both singers.
