The Beatles - The Great Artist Best Hits FLAC album

20 Greatest Hits is a compilation album featuring a selection of songs by The Beatles that were number one singles in the UK and US. It was released on 11 October 1982 in the United States and 18 October in the United Kingdom and marked the 20th anniversary of The Beatles' first record release, "Love Me Do," in the UK in October 1962

Certainly the best Beatles album- it shows every side of them. Their rocking side (the opening track, Getting Better, the reprise), their soft, melodic, beautiful side (She's Leaving Home), their experimental side (Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Fixing A Hole, Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite!, Within You Without You, and A Day In The Life of course. and their pop side. Eh. The Beatles kind of just went with the unfortunately not so great flow with this 1970 band finisher. Let it be is my favourite song! It’s somewhat chaotic but holds some of their best songs - magnolai-ia. You can hear that this album was a bit thrown together in the chaos of Paul's departure, but the first side is actually filled with great and underrated batles songs. Collaboration of all The Beatles greatest hits. Number 1 in all aspects. Yes, they remix some of the songs, but I don't think it hurts the song.

Greatest Hits Volume 1 is a greatest hits compilation album by The Beatles which was exclusive to Australia, Singapore and New Zealand. The album was compiled by EMI Australia to fill in the gap between Rubber Soul and Revolver (much like A Collection of Beatles Oldies would in 1966 in between Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band)

The Beatles' final album, which was actually recorded before 'Abbey Road' but released after, was mired in confusion. After the sprawling and tension-filled sessions for 'The White Album,' in which the four members basically became each other's backing bands, the Beatles secluded themselves in the studio, hoping to rekindle their passion for music and each other. It didn't work out that way. The album sat on the shelves for more than a year, until producer Phil Spector tried assembling a record from the aborted sessions

The Beatles may have released Let It Be last, but their final work as a band was Abbey Road. It's definitive proof that the band broke up at the absolute height of their powers. Recorded in the summer of 1969 after the torturous Let It Be sessions, The Beatles knew that Abbey Road was going to be their last effort, so they put aside their differences to craft a masterpiece. Ringo even delivered a winner with "Octopus's Garden," one of the few Beatles songs he wrote by himself. The best part of the LP, however, is side two – a 16-minute suite of songs that seamlessly flow together. Who knows what would have happened had they stuck together for a few more albums.

Notes

I had this CD at one time. From what I remember, "Get Back" was the album version, but cut off the spoken intro and faded out at the applause. "I Saw Her Standing There" also had a distorted ending.
