Mary O'Hara - Recital FLAC album

See For Miles Records.

The Canadian’s 1988 debut Miss America is a spellbinding classic. But even as O’Hara returns to public view this year, a long-awaited follow-up looks no closer.

Folk Songs of the British Isles.

Mary Margaret O'Hara is a Canadian singer-songwriter, actress and composer. She is best known for the album Miss America, released in 1988. She released two albums and an EP under her own name, and remains active as a live performer, as a contributor to compilation albums and as a guest collaborator on other artists' albums. O'Hara was born in the late 1950's in Toronto, Ontario to a large family of Irish Catholic descent. She is the younger sister of comedic actress Catherine O'Hara.

Mary O'Hara (born May 12, 1935) is an Irish soprano and harpist from County Sligo, Ireland. She achieved fame on both sides of the Atlantic in the late 1950's and early 1960's. Varianti: Stai visualizzando tutto Mary O'Hara. M. O'Hara, . 'Hara, Mary O Hara, Mary Ohara Selig, O'Hara.

Mary Margaret O'Hara is one of the greatest singer songwriters of all times, although, alas, one who has not been blessed with commercial appeal. She studied art and then started singing in the early 1970s in a couple of Toronto (Canada) bands. When the Go Deo Chorus disbanded in 1983, she was signed by a major label to record an album, but the album took four years to materialize. Miss America (Virgin, 1988 - Koch, 1996), was an avantgarde concept that rivalled Jane Siberry's most innovative crossover visions. O'Hara's voice wakes up and begins her seductive and forceful recital: with each phrase the tone changes from angry to childish, from desperate to serene, from ecstatic to neurotic. Another mesmerizing show of her vocal persona comes with Not Be Alright, a hyper-syncopated blues a& la Fleetwood Mac's Tusk that she turns into a demonic rap.

World of Music (Mary O'Hara album). World of Music is a 1989 album by Mary O'Hara for EMI, as MFP 5870.

Mary O'Hara was born in 1935 at County Sligo, Ireland. From 1952 to 1962 she sang mostly Irish and Scottish songs. She left in 1974 and resumed her singing career, retiring in 1994. She currently lives in England.
