The Frequency are an independent rock band from Los Angeles, CA. Marc Cazorla and Alex Stiff are the core songwriting and recording duo behind the music and use an array of analog and vintage instruments in creating sounds that have been described by NME as "stripped back music strengthened by simplicity as much as beauty". Q Magazine has given the new release "Morning to 3 .

What's the frequency, Kenneth?" is your Benzedrine, uh-huh I was brain-dead, locked out, numb, not up to speed I thought I'd pegged you an idiot's dream Tunnel vision from the outsider's screen I never understood the frequency, uh-huh You wore our expectations like an armored suit, uh-huh. What’s the Frequency Kenneth? is an alternative rock hit by . Released on September 5, 1994, it was the first single from the band’s ninth album Monster and signaled a change in the band’s sound; the mandolins and string sections from the band’s early 90s material were replaced by grungy electric guitar and fuzzed out bass. The subject matter of Kenneth –the media’s futile attempt to grasp Generation X–also anticipated Monster’s thematic preoccupation with identity, celebrity, and communication.

What's the Frequency, Kenneth?" is a song by the American alternative rock band . from their 1994 album Monster. It was the first single taken from the album, which was released three weeks later. It peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 9 on the UK Singles Chart, and was the first song to debut at number one on Billboard Modern Rock Tracks

While The Frequency had been able to keep its doors open during extensive street construction, increased costs and low revenue has put us in a position where we need to take some time off to re-evaluate the business as a whole. So, we are placing the concept of The Frequency in storage until further notice. Our last date of business will be June 30, 2018. All shows booked through June 30, 2018 will be honored.

The Frequency is the solo project from Trans Am drummer Sebastian Thomson. Thomson's singing give the album more of a focal point than most recent Trans Am fare, but he's frequently found well inside the mix, and often there's little melodic contour for his competent everyman voice to follow. Often, his unaffected voice simply doesn't sound at home in this songs- I never thought I'd ever have to say "needs more vocoder," but here we are. Bur this album does have plenty going for it. Thomson is a killer drummer but he's not showy, and at the heart of every song lies a solid rhythmic foundation
