The Moody Blues - Prelude FLAC album

Prelude is a 1987 compilation album by The Moody Blues consisting of non-album singles and rarities. Tracks 1-4 were previously released on singles in 1967 prior to the release of Days of Future Passed. They are the first Moody Blues releases to feature Justin Hayward and John Lodge. Tracks 5 and 6 were released as non-album B-sides. Track 6, "A Simple Game", was later recorded by the Four Tops and (as "Simple Game"), went to in the UK charts in 1972.

Prelude ‎(CD, Comp, Mono). This is basically an album of non album singles and a couple outtakes, and it's all excellent material. This is essential listening, if you enjoy that mid to late 60's sound of theirs. You could easily hear most of these fitting in as additional tracks on the first few LP's.

Prelude is a 1987 compilation album by The Moody Blues consisting of non-album singles and rarities. Tracks 1-5 were previously released on singles in 1967 prior to the release of Days of Future Passed. Tracks 7-11 formed the "+5" portion of the 1977 Caught Live + 5 album. The Moody Blues are an English rock band. They first came to prominence playing rhythm and blues music, but their second album, Days of Future Passed, which was released in 1967, was a fusion of rock with classical music and established them as pioneers in the development of art rock and progressive rock. It has been described as a "landmark" and "one of the first successful concept albums".

Only for completionists (0%). Prelude has a good sound quality and is well worth having if you want to hear what Moodies were into before their Days album, and especially if you don't have Caught Live +5 (which I don't rate high as a live recording). New listeners should choose the main albums between '67-'72. Well, here is a bunch of some old and/or forgotten MB songs. all average and all hearable.

I'd love it if somebody put this out on vinyl (preferably NOT novelty colors/materials). This is basically an album of non album singles and a couple outtakes, and it's all excellent material. This is essential listening, if you enjoy that mid to late 60's sound of theirs. You could easily hear most of these fitting in as additional tracks on the first few LP's.
