Edwyn Collins, Home Again. It's hard to believe Edwyn Collins's sixth album was recorded before the two debilitating strokes that hit him in February 2005. His condition has only sharpened Home Again's contemplative flavour. Long-serving fans of the former Orange Juice frontman may mourn the fact that his waspish wit is confined to a couple of digs at the current rock scene, but will surely relish the sheer craftsmanship. Leviathan is handsome, ocean-going folk, while Written in Stone almost beats Richard Hawley at his own game; after all, Collins was indie music's first crooner.
Edwyn Stephen Collins (born 23 August 1959) is a Scottish musician, producer and record label owner from Edinburgh, Scotland. Collins was the lead singer for the 1980s post-punk band Orange Juice, which he co-founded. Following the group's split in 1985, Collins started a solo career.

Edwyn Collins: 'Home Again'. It celebrates a huge old talent that had been largely forgotten and took his near death to remember'. Edwyn Collins, the one-time brilliantly quiffed frontman of Scottish white soul trailblazers Orange Juice (Franz Ferdinand owe them an awful lot) and writer of irresistible monster ’90s hit ‘A Girl Like You’, shouldn’t be here. In 2005, he suffered two cataclysmic strokes, contracted MRSA during recovery and had to learn to walk and talk again.
