Rufus' 1983 double LP, Stompin' at the Savoy (Live) was an ambitious, eccentric, and occasionally patchy affair that grew out of a series of live shows the group staged during 1982. The idea for this set, and what ultimately became the group's last album, grew out of those live shows.

Rufus featuring Chaka Khan is the gold-selling fourth studio album by funk band Rufus (and their second album with singer Chaka Khan), released on the ABC Records label in 1975. It remained atop the R&B album chart for six consecutive weeks. By 1975, Rufus and lead front woman Chaka Khan had become one of the most popular bands in popular music.

Rufus were one of Funks most successful American bands in the 1970s. Chaka Khan joined the group in 1973. By 1981, Chaka had framed herself with a strong run of post-disco soul records and exited Rufus. This album showcases why the group was so talented, and by having a good chunk of their greatest hits sung live, they went out in style. 7 people found this helpful.

Stompin' at the Savoy was a double-record set featuring three sides of live material recorded at the Savoy Theatre in New York which sees the band reunited with Chaka Khan and performing all their biggest hits such as "Tell Me Something Good", "You Got the Love", "Sweet Thing", "At Midnight (My Love Will Lift You Up)", and "Do You Love What You. Feel" as well as "What Cha' Gonna Do for Me" from Khan's 1981 solo album of the same name  . also filmed the performance for a documentary and the album was to be the soundtrack, but, for unknown reasons, decided to shelve the documentary, but still release the album. Camouflage is the tenth studio album by funk band Rufus (and their sixth album featuring Chaka Khan), released on the MCA Records label in 1981. Camouflage peaked at on Billboard's R&B Albums chart and stalled at on Pop. The album includes the singles "Sharing the Love" (US R&B 8, US Pop and "Better Together" (US R&B US Dance. Following Seal in Red the band reunited with Chaka Khan for one final album together, the double live/studio set Stompin' at the Savoy - Live, before dissolving in late 1983. The Platinum Collection (Chaka Khan album). The Platinum Collection is a compilation album of recordings by American funk/R&B singer Chaka Khan, released by the Warner label in 2006.
