Songs for Rainy Day Lovers is an album by American -arranger Clare Fischer, recorded in August 1966 and released in September 1967 by Columbia Records. Yet it’s amazing just how many songs have been inspired by droplets of cloud wee. Some love it (Prince), some hate it (Travis), and, yes, many use it as a metaphor for something else, but either way, there are more bangers about being soggy than you might have thought. When lyrical genius Dylan released the song in 1962, everyone thought it was just a metaphor for a nuclear fall out. Turns out, it’s just about hard rain, not atomic rain.

Rainy Day Women 12 & 35 Bob Dylan. This song really has nothing to do with rain. In fact, if you know what the song is about, please let me know. Bob Dylan wrote hundreds of amazing songs, and this is one of his best, written for The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan, his first album of original songs. To think, Dylan is only 22 years old here with decades of brilliance to come. Need to listen while on the road? No worries.

Song for a Rainy Sunday. It's a rainy Sunday morning and I don't know what to do. If I stay in bed all day, I'll only think about you. If I try to study, I won't learn anything new. And if I go for a walk on my own in the park, I'll probably catch the flu! I just don't know (He doesn't know). What to do (What to do). I just don't know (He doesn't know).
