Echo and The Bunnymen. Just Say Sire: The Sire Records Story (CD's + DVD) (US Release).

Echo & The Bunnymen frontman Ian McCulloch explores "The Killing Moon" and talks about his "cryptic without being contentious" lyrics. Echo & The Bunnymen fulfilled a unique role in the evolution of British rock music  . I've realized after singing it that I was singing it to some kind of god. Are we not the ones?

Redirected from Echo And The Bunnymen). Echo & the Bunnymen are an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1978. The original line-up consisted of vocalist Ian McCulloch, guitarist Will Sergeant and bassist Les Pattinson, supplemented by a drum machine. By 1980, Pete de Freitas joined as the band's drummer. Their 1980 debut album, Crocodiles, went into the top 20 of the UK Albums Chart.

Evergreen is the seventh studio album by the English rock band Echo & the Bunnymen. It is their first album since reforming after they disbanded in 1993. Vocalist Ian McCulloch and guitarist Will Sergeant had previously worked together as Electrafixion before they were rejoined by bassist Les Pattinson under the name Echo & the Bunnymen in early 1997

Echo & the Bunnymen's dark, swirling fusion of gloomy post-punk and Doors-inspired psychedelia brought the group a handful of British hits in the early '80s, while attracting a cult following in the United States. The Bunnymen grew out of the Crucial Three, a late-'70s trio featuring vocalist Ian McCulloch, Pete Wylie, and Julian Cope

Echo and Bunnymen eventually led to death and hollow reverberation. Twisted trees were hacked but not quite felled. The Grey album fell on ears deafened by prior storms and is largely forgotten in these turquoise days. The Divine Comedy Victory For The Comic Muse. The Divine Comedy Promenade. I only ask because it seems fairly obvious that Echo & The Bunnymen were a band christened during a period of impaired judgment. The Bunnymen hit the ground running, and their debut album is a stunning statement of purpose, with McCulloch already in full dramatic swing and the band at their most straightforward- any band that uses as much reverb as this one is hard to label "raw," but "Pride" and "Do It Clean" nonetheless hit hard, and "Rescue", with Sergeant's massive opening.

With Ian McCulloch channeling his inner Morrison, along side the killer riffs of Will Sergeant and a steady rhythm section, they found some much deserved crossover fame with some later tunes like Lips Like Sugar, The Killing Moon and Bring On The Dancing Horses. E&TBM finished up the 80's with some pop tunes headed towards the dancey Madchester sounds, but still of quality nonetheless. Essential listening all around. Responder Notifícame 7 Helpful.

Thirty years ago Eric's was closed down following a police raid during a Psychedelic Furs gig; but not for good. He barely sings a note of it, opting instead to furiously try and explain the song's meaning, babbling about death in-between sparring some more with the crowd. As for Echo and the Bunnymen, the band and the Cairns Strings were awesome, and deserve medals.
