After his stint with Manfred Mann, Bruce would go on to form Cream with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker. Double vinyl LP pressing. Radio Days - The Paul Jones Era is the first complete collection of existing BBC recordings made by the original Manfred Mann lineup with vocalist Paul Jones between 1964 and 1966. The sessions also feature another legend, bassist Jack Bruce, who was previously with The Graham Bond Organisation and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. After his stint with Manfred Mann, Bruce would go on to form Cream with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker
The group's second British album - released just as the original lineup was entering a state of collapse with the impending departure of two key members - shows some of the changes that can happen in a year, as they moved away from Chess Records' brand of blues as their baseline. Instead, they produced a sound that's slightly smoother and a lot more soulful

Paul Jones in brilliant form, on vocals and harmonica with some superb back up from Mann, Vickers, McGuinness and Hugg. British 60s R & B at it's best. I Think It's Gonna Work Out Fine, sings Jones. Good compilation of early Manfred Mann. Some excellent tracks in this collection. A little disappointed in the Paul Jones solo album, as I really rate him as a vocalist, but the material he was given at the time does not show his talents to best effect. Verified purchase: Yes Condition: New. by beverleycat04 Nov, 2016. Up there with the very best. Manfred Mann were one of the best bands to emerge in the sixties and these recordings demonstrate just how much better they were, musically, than many of their peers
The Manfred Mann Album. The Manfred Mann Album is the debut American studio album by British R&B/pop band Manfred Mann. platter was probably their strongest, and indeed one of the stronger British Invasion albums of the very competitive year of 1964. Besides the smash "Do Wah Diddy Diddy," it contained a number of fine soul and R&B covers. Standouts were the versions of "Untie Me" and Ike & Tina Turner's "It's Gonna Work Out Fine," as well as the strong pounding Paul Jones original, "Without Yo.
