Bruce Springsteen - Bruce Springsteen: The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle FLAC album

The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle is the second studio album by American rock singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen. It was recorded by Springsteen with the E Street Band at 914 Sound Studios in Blauvelt, New York; and released on November 11, 1973, by Columbia Records. The album includes the song "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)", the band's most-used set-closing song for the first 10 years of its career.

Bruce Springsteen may have been the future of rock’n’roll, but he wasn’t yet its present. Rich in self-mythologising tales of the frustrated boys and girls of Asbury Park’s balmy boardwalk days and nights, it delivered a show-stopping, cinematic Side Two. Incident On 57th Street is where Springsteen moved from dreamer to creative colossus. But success? It wasn't happening

Overall Impression - 10 "The wild, the innocent & The E Street shuffle" is my favourite Bruce Springsteen album, and definetely one of my favourite albums of all time (together with The Rolling Stones' Exile on Main Street, Dylan's Blood on The Tracks, Grace by Jeff Buckley and The Beatles' Rubber Soul). I love the variety of genres it has: soul, folk, cajun, rock, jazz. My favourite songs are: "The E Street Shuffle", "4th of July, Ashbury Park (Sandy), "Wild Billy's Circus Story" and "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)".

His second album, The Wild, the Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle, added his stellar E Street Band. This is where Springsteen becomes an electric performer, with songs that invent new structures and court deep narratives. The E Street Shuffle and Kitty’s Back are among the funkiest songs he’s recorded, while 4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) and Wild Billy’s Circus Story are the warmest and most heartbreaking on the album. Incident on 57th Street is pure cinemascope, an elaborate tale that sweats like a classic early-‘70s film.

11, 1973, Bruce Springsteen released his second album, The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle. It was an interesting record," Springsteen said before a one-off full-album performance of it at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 7, 2009. Half the songs are kind of set in New Jersey and around our little street corner. and the other half are sort of my romantic fantasies of New York City. The opening one-two punch of "The E Street Shuffle" and "4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)" is a perfect example of his cinematic approach. If the former is the typical scene in a teenage movie where the dance at the high school gym takes place, the latter is where the hero walks out and tells his girlfriend he needs to leave town to find something better. Listen to Bruce Springsteen's '4th of July, Asbury Park'. Side Two features a three-song suite book-ended by two of the New York songs.
