Bruce Springsteen wrapped up the Darkness On The Edge Of Town Tour on the first day of 1979. For the next few months, he altered between composing and practicing solo demos at his home in Holmdel, NJ (between January and June 1979), rehearsing with the band at his Telegraph Hill Road property in Holmdel, NJ (between March and May 1979), and recording in studio at The Power Station in New York City, NY (from late March to late August 1979). As far as it's known, only two artists have recorded and released Bruce Springsteen's CINDY: Lorenzo Bertocchini - Hearts Of Stone: Some Bruce Springsteen Songs. CD - no label (GOMB 16) - Italy, 2009. This is a Bruce Springsteen tribute album.

Tracks is a four-disc box set by Bruce Springsteen, released in 1998 containing 66 songs. This box set mostly consists of d songs recorded during the sessions for his many albums, but also includes a number of single B-sides, as well as demos and alternate versions of already-released material. The project began in early 1998, when Springsteen and his chief recording engineer, Toby Scott, began going through his massive collection of unreleased songs

Bruce Springsteen went through a period of tremendous self-doubt before he recorded The Rising. The 1999/2000 reunion tour with the E Street Band was a huge success, they were just playing old material. With this album Bruce set aside the folky sounds of his debut album, writing songs with a more soulful, epic vibe. Songs like "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" and "4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)" had been road-tested all year, and he'd cooked up epic New York tales with "Incident on 57th Street" and "New York City Serenade.

The album is a collection of 18 songs chosen by Springsteen that trace his musical history from its earliest days and tell a story that parallels the one in the book. Chapter and Verse includes five previously unreleased tracks including two tracks from The Castiles, featuring a teenaged Springsteen on guitar and vocals. Chapter and Verse is the musical companion to Bruce Springsteen’s autobiography ‘Born To Ru. The album is a collection of 18 songs chosen by Springsteen that trace his musical history from its earliest days and tell a story that parallels the one in the book.

Every time he cut an album, he recorded a surplus of songs and left some out, not always on the basis of quality, but often because they simply didn't suit the mood of the record. It was inevitable that dedicated fans and collectors would bootleg these recordings, and for many years, he was one of the most popular bootlegged artists, rivaling even Bob Dylan. Dylan released a box set of unreleased songs in 1991, paving the way for the long-overdue appearance of a similar Springsteen set, Tracks, in 1998.

Bruce Springsteen Albums Ranked Worst to Best. Ultimate Classic Rock. But when you look at the entries on our list of Bruce Springsteen Albums, Ranked from Worst to Best, you'll notice that he’s averaged an album nearly every other year throughout his recording career, which began in 1973. And as he approached and reached middle age, when most acts will traditionally slow down their output, Springsteen sped up, with nine records since 1998, some of which hold their own against his best work. While he's associated with straightforward bar band rock n' roll, looking at some of his lesser-known works reveal a willingness to experiment, either with short stories set to spare arrangements (Devils & Dust). folk music (We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions) and lush, orchestral pop (Working on a Dream).
