Punk Goes Pop Volume Two is the eighth compilation album in the Punk Goes. It was released on March 9, 2009, in the United Kingdom, and March 10, 2009, in the United States. The album debuted at number 15 on the Billboard 200, selling 21,000 copies in its first week.
Punk Goes Pop is a compilation album part of the Punk Goes Pop series created by Fearless Records. It contains a collection of songs by various artists performing covers of pop songs. It was released on April 3, 2002. Its success caused Fearless to release more pop cover albums. As of 2014 there have been five other Punk Goes Pop albums, more than any other in the franchise.
The album doesn't stick to any particular aspect or time period, instead doing everyone from Belinda Carlisle to Destiny's Child with the usual punk-y abandon. Featuring Dynamite Boy, Noise Ratchet, Stretch Arm Strong, and many others, the album is a perfect purchase for fans of obnoxious, snotty punk-pop.

Punk Goes Pop 4 actually starts out well. Pierce The Veil’s cover of Bruno Mars is safe, and comfortably amongst the lightest of their material, however it’s still not bad by the previous instalments standards. Next up comes a surprise, in the form of Tonight Alive’s cover of Mumford And Son’s Little Lion Man. I had not heard anything by the band before this, and I was instantly impressed. Do not, though, get the impression this is a good cover album, as the record is littered with awful renditions of radio hits. The third track, and one of the first released, was a cover I was dreading, Woe, Is Me, covering Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night. I confess to enjoying the original song, however the same cannot be said for this cover.
