An integral member of Alison Krauss & Union Station since 1990, he is also a successful songwriter, session musician and producer. Barry’s awards include 15 Grammys, 23 International Bluegrass Music Association awards - including 4 Bass Player of the Year trophies - 1 Country Music Association award, and 2 Academy of Country Music awards, including Song of the Year for the Top 10 hit Nobody To Blame, written with and recorded by Chris Stapleton. Union Station’s ocalist RON BLOCK is something of a musical Huck Finn, a tireless adventurer exploring various styles yet rooted firmly in the bluegrass-country tradition. An in-demand session musician, he’s played on recordings by Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Little Big Town, Josh Turner, and many others.

Union Station is an American bluegrass and country band associated with singer Alison Krauss. Recorded on their Spring 2002 tour, this is Alison Krauss + Union Station's first live recording. It's only one highlight on an album of uncommon artistry, a moving testament to how good live music can be in the hands of world-class players.

Given Alison Krauss' tremendous popularity and her status as the first female bluegrass singer to cross over into genuine pop marketability, and given the fact that her guitarist, Dan Tyminski, is the voice behind "Man of Constant Sorrow" (or at least the version that served as an idée fixe in the blockbuster movie O Brother, Where Art Thou?), a live album.

Produced by Union Station & Alison Krauss. Album Live Disc 1. Faraway Land (Live) Lyrics two. When years seem like days to me No time on my hands I run away to a place in me to a faraway land. he will live in my place. When life seem so hard to bear When shadows look real The circumstance is your father's care Don't find faith by what you feel If you have been running too Stop now in your tracks Turn again to the one in you And put your burden on his back. His quiet voice speaking in silence every day If I will only listen to the words he has to say I'll walk in his spirit and see him in your face I will live cause he will live in my place.
