Mountain Duet by Björn Ulvaeus & Benny Andersson Lyrics. Originally released as a concept album by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus with lyrics by Tim Rice, and later famously adapted into a stage musical, Chess tells the story of two chess champions from both sides of the Cold War fighting over the manager of one who has fallen in love with the other.
Anthem" is a song from the concept album and subsequent musical Chess by Tim Rice, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. The song describes the feelings of Soviet Russian challenger, Anatoly Sergievsky, when he defects. The song was originally sung by Tommy Körberg on the original concept album and as Anatoly in the original West End cast. It was later covered by various artists including Josh Groban on his album Stages and Kerry Ellis.
Billed as Chess in Concert, this Swedish album presents the third major recording of the musical Chess, with music by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and lyrics by Tim Rice, which began life as a concept album in 1984 and also had an original Broadway cast recording in 1988. Those two versions were quite different, particularly because the work was altered extensively for its unsuccessful Broadway run (which followed a successful London production not commemorated with a cast album). As Rice notes in his annotations here, Chess has been produced since in both theatrical and concert versions.

Chess Audio CD. Benny Andersson. The result was a concept album released in 1984 to great acclaim. A London stage version starring Elaine Page and Murray Head opened in 1986. There is a significant difference between the London and New York versions of CHESS. There have been a number of revivals over the years, most often in a concert format, and in Europe CHESS has considerable cache. But the result has been a seemingly endless array of show versions and show recordings, and fans of the play tend to be passionate about what performer was best in which role and which version was better in which country.
