Stare At is the second studio album released by singer Ken Hirai under the label Sony Records. Now released by DefStar Records (Sony Music Group). It was released on December 1, 1996. The album includes the singles, Yokogao, Doshaburi, and Stay with Me. Hirai wrote and composed most of the songs himself. He revealed that after the album was complete, it would be released late in the end of the year. Kanashii no wa Kimi dake ja nai (4:55).

This song is by Ken Hirai and appears on the album Stare At (1996).

Ken Hirai (平井 堅, Hirai Ken, born on January 17, 1972) is a Japanese R&B and pop singer. During his career, Hirai has released 32 singles and 11 albums up until October 2010. According to Oricon, his single Hitomi o Tojite (Close Your Eyes) became the best-selling single of 2004 in Japan. Fans waited until 2000 for a third album from Hirai, The Changing Same. It was the first single, "Rakuen" (楽園, Paradise), that established him as a major player in the Japanese sales charts and overseas. He was the first Japanese artist to take the classic test of a true R&B performer - playing at the Apollo Theater in New York, where he got a warm reception.

The album will feature 11 songs, including the two that Akiko released earlier this year as digital singles: Yokogao with Onuki Taeko and Banana ga Suki with YUKI. It will also feature Akiko singing a cover of THE YELLOW MONKEY’s hit Pearl, with the band’s frontman Yoshii Kazuya. U-zhaan, Tamaki ROY, and Chinza DOPENESS are featured on a remake of Tadaima no Uta, a song Akiko made with Moriyama Ryoko as part of the duo Yamori.
