In 1979, having Giuglio Cesare Della Noce on keyboards, Témpano recorded its first album, called Atabal Yemal. It is considered to be the first symphonic rock album produced in Venezuela. A year later, Pedro Castillo left the act to form a new project called . When singer Zdenek Matousek and bass player Víctor Fiol joined in, the group recorded Pesadilla Sin Final, released in 1981.
