In 2008 they changed the bands name to "AEGROR" according to the lyrical concept of their first LP "De Morbis" which has been released in 2010. After the line up has changed a few times in the past the band now has a stable line up with Mithyr, Narthaas, Acorus, Skarrg and Abyssus. Together the five members create unique and passionated black/death metal which is incompareable to other bands in this scene  . com/wordsoffarewell Label: AFM Records. July 9, 2015 ·. AEGROR.

The following time was characterized by live gigs and the work for the second release. Due to a line-up change, unfortunately caused by an accident concerning Narthaas, the band was forced to look for a new guitar player (Abyssus), who can took his part on the guitar. Luckily, in September 2013 AEGROR found a new guitarist (Acorus) to continue the process for the second album. AEGROR played a few shows within 2014, but the main focus remains at the writing and recording process for the next record, which will be approx. released in early 2015. The band is now working in a perfect and stable line-up as follows: Narthaas (Vocals) Mithyr (Drums) Abyssus (Guitars/Clean Vocals) Skarrg (Bass) Acorus ( Guitars).

They recorded their debut album, Abominations of Desolation, in 1986, but the band was unsatisfied with the final product and it remained unreleased until 1991, printing 10,000 copies. In the early stages of their career the band developed a reputation for "gruesome stage antics. In 1991, Morbid Angel released their second album, Blessed Are the Sick, which was met with widespread critical acclaim, and is considered by many to be a landmark release in the death metal genre. The album differed from its predecessor, showcasing a more "sludgy" side to the band. Morbid Angel toured worldwide in support of Blessed Are the Sick throughout 1991 and 1992, headlining a European tour with Sadus, Cathedral, Godflesh and Unleashed, a North American tour (also supported by Unleashed) and then a European tour with Entombed and Unleashed.

Whereas De Morbis was influenced by different styles of black metal, the songs on their 2013 EP Forgotten Tales. were more open-minded then ever before and claimed to create something really new. After some line-up changes AEGROR restarted as a quintett and are now working on new music. Instead of walking the old paths the bands focus is on more experimential music with a lot of influences reaching from black metal to jazz and from tech death to post rock and even to genres like classical, pop or electronic music. The 2nd album will be an extreme and crushing avantgarde metal album which is not only outstanding but groundbreaking.
