The War is the fourth studio album by South Korean-Chinese boy band Exo. It was released digitally on July 18, 2017 and physically on July 19, 2017 by SM Entertainment under Genie Music's distribution. The album includes a total of nine tracks including the lead single "Ko Ko Bop".

The Cranberries Zombie era was the accompanying video, in which the singer was painted gold and surrounded by silver-painted cherubs. It was inter-cut with documentary footage of soldiers and children on the streets of Northern Ireland, filmed by director Samuel Bayer, who also made the videos for Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit and Blind Melon’s No Rain. Parent album No Need To Argue went on to sell 17 million copies, and made O’Riordan very rich. I wouldn’t change anything about it, because it did so well, she said. It was well-written and it was well-composed. I think it did so well because it’s hard to categorise it. And I still like singing it. The cranberries revisited Zombie last year when they re-recorded an acoustic version with the Irish chamber orchestra for the band’s reworked greatest hits collection Something Else.

War: Vietnam War The message: Geezer Butler said in Martin Popoff’s 2006 biography of the band that ‘War Pigs’ was totally against the Vietnam War, about how these rich politicians and rich people start all the wars for their benefit and get all the poor people to die for them. However, Ozzy Osbourne has countered that statement in the past, saying it was a general anti-war song. The Cranberries – ‘Zombie’. War: Northern Irish troubles The message: Dolores O’Riordan wrote the song after two children were killed by an IRA bomb in Warrington. She once described it as the band’s cry against man’s inhumanity to man; and man’s inhumanity to child, and told NME: If you feel really strongly about something and it really annoys you, then other young people will think the same as you and something can be done about it.

The Cranberries rose to international fame in the 1990s with their debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, which became a commercial success. Something Else, an album covering many of the band's most popular songs along with new orchestral accompaniments provided by the Irish Chamber Orchestra, was released in April 2017. The album also included three new songs: "The Glory", "Rupture" and "Why?" On 15 January 2018, lead singer Dolores O'Riordan was found dead of drowning in a London hotel room. She had recently arrived in London for a recording session.

Official site for The Cranberries. Features biography, pictures, discography, contacts and tour news. It’s remarkable to look back and think just how how much of a cultural force The Cranberries have been, not only in the Ireland, UK and US, but across the globe: over their career, they have sold more than 40 million albums, making them one of the world’s biggest rock acts, as well as a staple on TV and film soundtracks. The following year, they then began recording their debut album Everybody Else is Doing It So Why Can’t We? with producer Stephen Street. Street had worked with The Smiths and Blur, as well as co-writing Morrissey’s first solo album Viva Hate, and so his involvement was a dream come true.
