Track 07 from the album "Satta Dub Strictly Roots" 1978.

referencing Satta Dub Strictly Roots, LP, Album, RE, RP, DKR-097. Many have gotten very cheap, and in light of originals rising cost, I figure some are worth trying. I have a reasonable amount of original JA and UK LPs in the genre, and have been listening to almost nothing but for several years.

Jacket reproduction is very nicely done on these two. Solid stock, clean transfers (considering source options).Sound quality on both of these were surprising. A little too clean sounding maybe, but that's also because I imagine they were noisy in their day anyway. I have a few original Well-Charge, and they are some of the noisier, clean JA discs I own. So it's not necessarily a bad, clean sound. Good staging, separation, loud, drums sound natural. Almost falls into the question of is this possibly better than a noisy original in some cases? There's no overwhelming muddiness or compression, but it's not exactly original sounding. They both sound damn good though, and I think anyone would be happy with a copy. No pressing issues on either of these issues, not on my copies anyway. 8.5/10
