Stalaggh - Stalaggh FLAC album

The disturbing album cover of Stalaggh (The thumbnail of this video) was also drawn by a psychiatric hospital patient. Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.

Stalaggh came into its futile existence around 2000, when members of the Dutch and Belgian black metal and ambient music scenes came together for the express purpose of making an album that would fill their listeners with despair. To help achieve that goal, they dispensed with the usual growling black metal singers and instead brought in mental patients.

Stalaggh were a Dutch experimental group formed around 2001. The musicians involved have never been revealed and the band is known for using various mental patients to perform vocals. The band started with a 7'' EP on new Era Productions in 2001 and went on to release three main "projekts" or lengthy songs making up a whole album. They also added video to "Projekt Terror" which was released on DVD as "Projekt Terror - A Visualization".

Stalaggh was allegedly the result of a nihilistic collaboration between several unnamed Dutch and Belgian musicians who desired to spit out the most oppressive, unlistenable noise possible.

The NME described them as ‘the most extreme (and un-listenable) band ever’. Once the three album project is completed, the band has announced there will be no future releases and they will cease to exist. Limited to 300 hand-numbered copies.

Includes a folded A5 insert with the following statement:
"Stalaggh is a Misanthropik-Nihilistik projekt of leading Elektro/Ambient scenes, with a prior aim propagating the sonic ideology of human genocide. With among its members a murder convict and mental-institution patient, STALAGGH is bound to awaken emotions of depression, hate, nihilism, misanthropy, and to drag you deeper down into its pits and voids. STALAGGH's 'Projekt Nihil' was improvised and directly recorded in a 24 track studio, driving the producer into insanity. 'Never again' were his words... Excessive self-mutilation took place while recording these streams of black emotions, evolving into a 35-minute piece of Blackened Art, which is to be considered the soundtrack to humanity's global suicide... We will destroy, we will hate, and we will spread our misanthropic audio-terror until there is nothing left but scorched earth.
