Shadow Zone is the third album by the band Static-X, released on October 7, 2003. It was the only album to feature drummer Josh Freese and the first of two albums to feature guitarist Tripp Eisen.

Static's work with Davis greatly influenced the direction of the Shadow Zone album. While the band found success with their Platinum-selling debut album Wisconsin Death Trip in 1999, dissatisfaction grew in the band in creating the follow-up, Machine in 2001. Eventually, original guitarist Koichi Fukuda was replaced with Tripp Eisen. Work on Shadow Zone started in early 2002, and would span well over a year.

Static-X's Shadow Zone is a numbingly vacuous, no-dimensional dud that seems to have arrived via wormhole from 1998. In songs like "Kill Your Idols," "Destroy All," and "Monster," Wayne Static - who's never sounded more like Korn's Jonathan Davis - yells nonsense like "My head's a loaded gun" and "Breathing, killing, seething, willing" over thudding, one-note thrash busied up with dated electronic fuzz

Wayne Static has an amazing clean and harder-yet-on-pitch singing voice and demonstrates it at the forefront for a lot of the songs on this album. The experiment of going melodic sounds extremely good and still retains some of the quirkiness of Static-X's sound.
