Dazzling Killmen was an math-rock band from St. Louis, Missouri, It's composed for Blake Fleming, drummer, Darin Gray, bassist, Nick Sakes, voice and guitarist, and Tim Garrigan, guitarist. Their music mix sounds from noise hardcore and punk, also for their collaborations with Steve Albini. It influenced many groups also if group's lifetime was very short, only two LP, "Dig Out the Switch" and "Face of Collapse".

Dazzling Killmen were one of the most accomplished 1990s math rock bands, combining a punk-inspired noisy ruckus with jazzy Sun Ra-type intelligence and complex arrangements. The group was composed of midwestern jazz students – drummer Blake Fleming, guitarist Tim Garrigan, bassist Darin Gray – and vocalist Nick Sakes.
Dazzling Killmen was not your average hardcore band; three-fourths of the Killmen were schooled jazz musicians, which means they actually played their instruments rather than shredded them. The shredding was left to the vocals of guitarist Nick Sakes. It's hard to make out what Sakes is screaming about - his voice sounds more like another instrument in the mix than a singing voice - but that adds to, rather than detracts from, the thrilling mystery of the music.
The Dazzling Killmen represented the vision of vocalist/guitarist Nick Sakes, who had recruited original members Darin Gray and Blake Fleming. After several months of honing their sound, the trio released their first single, Numb b/w Bottom Feeder, on Sakes' label, Sawtooth. Releasing their second single, Torture b/w Ghost Limb, on the Crume Life label, they caught the ear of Skin Graft Comex owners and punk rock enthusiasts Mark Fischer and Rob Syers, who launched a production company, Skin Graft, to record their music. Adding a second guitarist, Tim Garrigan, the Dazzling Killmen continued to build a following for their hard-edged music. Shortly after the breakup of the Dazzling Killmen, Fischer and Syers released a compilation of their singles, Recuerdo.
