The title track of this album was a moderate mainstream rock hit, which featured a music video that gained substantial MTV airplay, as did "The Ballad".

Practice What You Preach is the third full-length Testament album and probably the best of their first era, which starts with "The Legacy" and ends with "The Ritual". Eerie Inhabitants and Disciples of the Watch) it is full of superb riffs and impressive, fast and melodic solos. Practice What You Preach is almost Metallica’s self-titled billboard smash 1991 studio album 2 years before the fact, particularly if one focuses on all of the non-atmospheric, mid-tempo work on said album.
Practice What You Preach".
Practice What You Preach (. 4) Great opening track it's not as fast and as thrashy as the older stuff but its still very good and Skolnick's solo is one of his best in the whole time he was with Testament. Envy Life (. 6) Compared to the first 2 tracks on the album this doesn't quite stand up to them. It starts with a growl from chuck and it starts off alright but after a while I got a bit fed up of this song and at . 3 there is a bit that really annoys me now because I don't like it where chuck starts singing "come on down to the house of pain.
Practice What You Preach is a thrash album: deafening, hostile, frenzied, and vehemently anti-authoritarian. Yet it also boasts a truckload of chunky rhythms and fuzzy riffs that speak to Testament’s love for rawk. In this sense, it’s a great crossover effort. Perilous Nation nails the band’s vision with its supple balance of violent lunges in tempo and in-the-pocket swing-not necessarily groove metal, but it comes close. Even more impressive in its agility is Greenhouse Effect, a seething environmental anthem that reveals the band’s conservationist sympathies
Practice What You Preach (1989) by Testament. Labels: Megaforce Records, Atlantic. Genres: Thrash Metal Members: Chuck Billy, Alex Skolnick, Eric Peterson, Greg Christian, Louie Clemente. The riffs are too powerful you can't handle it. The solos are awesome.
