Road is the debut self-titled studio album by American hard rock group Road. Released in 1972, it was the only album to be released by the band, who split up the same year. The song "My Friends" was originally recorded by bassist Noel Redding's previous band, Fat Mattress, but went unreleased at the time, making the Road version the first published recording of the song
The film was completed in 2011 but wasn't picked up until 2012 after its premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature. It was picked up for distribution in 2012 by Kevin Smith under his SModcast Pictures Presents label, in association with Phase 4 Films, the first under this label

The Bindlestiffs, a Kansas City-based "alt country" band featured Mike Niewald (guitar/vocals), Cory Corbino (bass/vocals), and original drummer John Ulvang. This was the band's first live performance in 1990 at The Crossing in Lawrence, Kansas.
