Lucky is the second solo album by Marty Balin. It was released in 1983 on EMI America Records. The album did not fare as well as his previous one, and only rose to on the Billboard chart. As a subtle tribute to Balin's friend and former band mate Jack Casady, he recorded a cover of "Heart of Stone," an original written by Brian Marnell from Jack's new wave group SVT. In memory of the singer, who passed away on Sept. Balin started his musical journey as a pop singer in the style of Gene Pitney or Paul Anka.
