Miranda Sex Garden were a music group from London, England. They were active from 1990 to 2000. Formed in 1990, Katharine Blake, Kelly McCusker and Jocelyn West were originally a trio of madrigal singers. They were educated at The Purcell School for Young Musicians in Bushey. They were discovered by Barry Adamson when they were singing madrigals on Portobello Road in London. He invited them to sing on his Delusion soundtrack, with the song Il Solitario

Miranda Sex Garden are a band formed in London, UK, in 1990, currently on an extended hiatus. Originally a trio of madrigal singers comprising Kelly McCusker, Jocelyn West and main vocalist Katharine Blake. The first album, "Madra", was entirely a cappella, with the songs all based on English renaissance verse. For their second release, the mini album "Iris", the sound evolved into a blend of their madrigal-styled vocals with sounds reminiscent of gothic rock, darkwave and ethereal wave.

Miranda Sex Garden's second full length album, named "Suspiria", is one of the most exciting and challenging records I've ever heard; an extreme aural experience that mesmerises the listener while at the same time leaving you completely extenuated. An album that has the same effects as an hallucinogen. Not many records I've found being able to describe dreamlike and unreal landscapes in such a proficient way as this one.
