LP, Vinyl record album. LP, Vinyl record album. That's right, we said SOUL album! Bowie was at the height of his Ziggy Stardust fame when this one was recorded – a drastic left-turn in styles, forged during a point in his American tour when he could take a break, head to Philly, plug in at the Sigma Sound Studios,. Changes One. RCA, 1976.

I must admit, I'm not much of a David Bowie fan, although he has enough songs that I like that I can appreciate his talents. And I always found it strange that he has a reputation as an innovator. It always seemed that he was rehashing earlier styles, a few years after they passed. But anyway, this album is a "greatest hits" collection from his RCA years, at the height of his popularity. And I'm not surprised it's called "Fame and Fashion", the two things that seemed most important to Bowie.

Legacy (The Very Best of David Bowie) (also known as Bowie Legacy) is a greatest hits album by British musician David Bowie, released on 11 November 2016 through Sony Music Entertainment in the . and Warner Music Group in the UK and several territories.

How David Bowie’s Ceaseless Re-invention Changed Fashion. Chris Evert: Anyone can be a champion. Photograph by Sukita. I do only have about 2,500 vinyls.

You like David Bowie? His early work was a little too jazzy for my taste, but when Hunky Dory came out in '71, I think he really came into the mainstream, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Freddie Mercury and Alice Cooper, but I think Bowie had a far more flamboyant, androgynous sense of style. In '72, Bowie released this, The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spider From Mars, his most critically acclaimed album

In Bowie's hands, the winsome, delicate track twists like a snake around a branch.

Fashion" is a track from David Bowie's 1980 album Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps). It was released as the second single from the album and was accompanied, like its predecessor "Ashes to Ashes", by a highly regarded music video. It was ranked as the 8th best single of 1980 by the NME magazine. According to co-producer Tony Visconti, "Fashion" was the last song completed in the Scary Monsters sessions, its bassline and some of the melody taking inspiration from Bowie's 1975 hit "Golden Years".
