Best Gwar album IMO and sounds ok for a first pressing on vinyl 24 years after the release. Unfortunately my record is really warped on both sides where the colour split is. On their fourth release, This Toilet Earth, Gwar managed to create a song so heinous (". ) that it was removed from the disc post-release, just as the band was removed from their new label, Priority Records. Happily, the lords of gross-out metal were welcomed back to their old home, Metal Blade Records, with open arms and the group hardly missed a beat.
Redirected from Jack the World). This Toilet Earth is the fourth album released by heavy metal band Gwar. Released in 1994, this album was to be one of their oddest and most bittersweet albums. It was the first Gwar album to be censored (the second was We Kill Everything, which comes in both censored and uncensored versions), due to their gain in popularity as a result of MTV exposure

Stylistically, This Toilet Earth is a bit less out-there than the previous effort, sounding more like the second coming of Hell-O with its weak production, surplus of throwaway tunes, and hardcore-emphasis. It’s a definite exercise in quantity over quality, spreading the winners a bit thinner than usual. There’s some funky stuff ( Pepperoni, Pocket Pool ), some punky stuff ( Jack the World, Krak Down, Fight ), and a lot you probably won’t care to remember, even after a few listens. As such, no GWAR album is without its classics. Saddam A Go-Go is a perfect opener, blending a horn section into the established GWAR rhythm madness. Skulhedface, a character that would come to deserve his own film, has a very interesting, insidious soliloquy, which features a hilariously corny showtune breakdown in the midst of a horde of riff changes.
Twenty five years after the release of Gwar's This Toilet Earth, Travis gives us his take on the album! Check it out on indymetalvault. Twenty Five Years Later: Gwar – This Toilet Earth. by Tristus ScriptorMarch 29, 2019March 29, 20190. I am so sleepy, please don’t rape me! Oderus Urungus pled these words in desperation, much like Planet Earth itself did upon GWAR’s arrival in 1984. And a groggy world could not prepare itself enough for the rude awakening brought upon by these space mutants. Three full albums of the troupe’s depravity came before the trumpets of war signaled the arrival of This Toilet Earth by way of opening track Saddam a Go-Go.
