King Crimson - USA FLAC album

USA is a live album by the English band King Crimson, released in 1975. It was mostly recorded at the Casino, Asbury Park, New Jersey, on 28 June 1974. The exceptions are track 7, which was recorded at the Palace Theatre, Providence, Rhode Island, United States, on 30 June 1974, and Eddie Jobson's overdubs on tracks 2, 3 and 7, which were recorded in a studio. Live recording was performed by George Chkiantz and David Hewitt on the Record Plant NY Remote Truck.

As Robert Fripp had done with King Crimson's first live LP, Earthbound (1972), USA is a single-disc concert package documenting the quartet during its 1974 swing through North America. As with its predecessor, USA was also issued as a sonic cenotaph of the concurrently defunct Krim. So insistent that the band would not be resurrected, Fripp concluded the LP's liner notes at the time with another three-letter epitaph: ".

Earthbound (King Crimson album). Earthbound is a live album by the band King Crimson, released in 1972 as a budget record shortly after the line-up that recorded it had broken up. It contains the band's first official live release of their signature song "21st Century Schizoid Man", and an extended live version of their 1970 non-LP B-side "Groon". It also contains two improvised tracks with scat vocals from Boz Burrell.

USA is a live album recorded towards the end of King Crimson s final US tour of the 70 s in June 1974. It was issued as an epitaph for the band in Spring 1975 as a single album where Fripp maps out the guitar blueprint for the entire post-punk movement

By the time USA was released, seven months had elapsed since King Crimson’s dramatic abdication. The trio that recorded Red had gone their separate ways. Bill Bruford had initially found work with Gong before going on to sessions with a diverse array of players including his ex-Yes colleagues Chris Squire and Steve Howe as they worked on their solo albums, as well as stints with National Health and eventually finding a home in the company of Roy Harper’s Trigger. Fripp and Wetton had discussed the idea of a live album for the band during Crimson’s final American tour but only now, after the band had famously ceased to exist, did the pair finally get around to working on it.

Red (King Crimson album). For other albums called Red, see Red (disambiguation). Also, unlike previous King Crimson albums, Red features extensive use of guitar overdubs. Later albums lacked acoustic guitar entirely and reverted to a minimum of overdubs (perhaps partly because every lineup of the band after this included two guitarists). The fourth track on the album, "Providence", was recorded live at Palace Theatre, Providence, Rhode Island, USA, on 30 June 1974, and is the album's only live recording.
