It's such a small town rodeo Such famous people here, with nowhere to go Well it don't get to me, I think it's the pits I got no friends, I wanna split. The daily papers seek a desperate face The television cameras join in the chase It's much fun interviewing urban decay I grab the microphone away. So don't get along, out of my way I'm not a robot, I've got something to say It's such a joke, are you ready to go Here comes that beat again, oh oh oh oh. (dance) no! (dance) no! (dance) no! (dance) no! We gotta get out of here We gotta get out of here right now We gotta get out of here We gotta get out of here right now We gotta get out of, we gotta get out We gotta get out of here right now We gotta get out of, we gotta get out We gotta get out of here right now (repeat.
Hunter's next album, Overnight Angels (1977), was produced by Roy Thomas Baker and featured a heavier guitar sound courtesy of former Bowie sideman Earl Slick. Hunter's record label in America, Columbia Records, refused to release the album in the US due to issues concerning Hunter's management: "Overnight Angels was not released in the US because I fired my manager, Fred Heller, during the English promotional tour – just before it was to be released in America. Columbia said they didn't want to release it until I had new management and that dragged on until it became. A new live album, Ian Hunter & The Rant Band - Live In The UK 2010 was released on 20 October 2014 on Hunter's own label Rant Records. Hunter continues to tour across the UK, Europe and North America. In January 2015, he played three nights in Tokyo. We Gotta Get Out Of Here".
We Gotta Get out of Here (Alternate Version).
Shades of Ian Hunter may not be the most comprehensive of hits packages from this longtime rock & roller, but it does combine the best tracks from three of his most successful recordings. With 15 songs, this minor compilation pulls his best material from the outstanding You're Never Alone With a Schizophrenic album, as well as the off-the-wall Short Back N' Sides release from 1981 and the live Welcome to the Club offering from 1980. Ending the album with songs from his former band is an effective finish to this compilation, which makes for an abbreviated but pleasant listen. We Gotta Get Out of Here.

15. I loved this album when I first heard it 30 years ago, and then I sort of forgot about Hunter and stopped listening to him. My mistake. I bought this again last week and haven't stopped getting back to what I loved most about it all those years ago.
