London Town is the sixth studio album by Wings, released in 1978. Recording the album was a long and tumultuous project which saw the loss of two band members, the birth of a baby and the release of the then best-selling single in British history. However, things did not quite work out as planned. In February 1977, Wings began recording sessions at Abbey Road Studios, which continued until the end of March. Here, Wings recorded five songs: Girls’ School, Name and Address, London Town, Children, Children and Linda McCartney’s B-Side to Seaside, later issued as the flip-side of the Wings single Seaside Woman (issued under the name Suzy and the Red Stripes ). The initial plan of touring the US again was thwarted by Linda’s discovery that she was pregnant with her and Paul’s third child.

London Town is the sixth studio album by the British–American rock group Wings. It was released in March 1978, two years after its predecessor, Wings at the Speed of Sound. The album had a long and tumultuous gestation during which the band's tour plans for 1977 were cancelled, due to Linda McCartney falling pregnant with her and Paul McCartney's third child, and two members of Wings departed, leaving the band as a trio comprising Paul, Linda and Denny Laine. In February, Wings began recording sessions at Abbey Road Studios, which continued until the end of March. Wings recorded five songs there: "Girls' School", "Name and Address", "London Town", "Children, Children" and Linda McCartney's "B-Side to Seaside".
A few time before the closing sessions of London Town, Paul issues Mull Of Kintyre as a single. This title, written with the help of Denny Laine, will not be included in the final album. This song is a beautiful ballad about the scottish peninsula of Kintyre and it's probably the biggest hit performed by Wings. The recording sessions take place in Paul's scottish farm in August 1977. During these sessions, Paul is helped by a local scottish group, the Campbeltown Pipes Band, who plays all those fine and famous bagpipes lines in the song. Recording session of Mull Of Kintyre.
