Steve Winwood / Jim Capaldi / Dave Mason / Chris Wood / Rick Grech / "Reebop" Kwaku Baah / Jim Gordon - Gimme Some Lovin' FLAC album

Welcome to the Canteen is the fifth album by English rock band Traffic.

Winwood's organ and Mason's rhythm guitar are conspicuously out of sync for part of "Gimme Some Lovin'". By the time of their next tour, Traffic had expanded with the additions of Dave Mason, Jim Gordon, and Reebop Kwaku Baah. The band only played six dates, two of which – their opening performance at Fairfield Hall, Croydon and a London benefit for Oz – were recorded and mixed to become Welcome to the Canteen. Mason was keen to take this version of Traffic to the United States, but Winwood was only interested in doing these six dates. Mason said, "It's Stevie's band, so it's up to hi.

Winwood Capaldi Wood Kwaku Baah Gee. 21 notes. Jim Capaldi arrived, and agreed with Steve. We’ll be able to throw the sound round more. Steve’s organ will come out more and Chris can play more solos. With more instruments you only have to rehearse more. It’s not a drastic change, and we’ll still be able to play most of the numbers on the LP. Chris Wood will play flute and bass, and occasionally play piano, while Steve plays organ. What does the future hold for Traffic? At the moment we’ll concentrate more on one-nighters, that’s always been the secene really  . capaldi winwood mason wood rock

The studio pros lent a tightness and proficiency to their characteristic free-form jams, and though they sometimes sounded like they couldn't wait to get the songs over with, the tunes went on and on, four clocking in at over ten minutes.
