Notes
Distinguishing features of this submission:Original Sinatra- Reprise labels; tri-colored, gold bottom, blue and black with sepia Frank photo, in use 1960-1963.
These labels had 33 1/3, Made in U.S.A., (c) Reprise Records, 1961 at the top of the blue section, in use before Warner Bros bought Reprise Records 1963.
Labels display a 2.75" deep pressing groove as well as an interior 5/8" groove.
There is an unknown cursive ƒ sideways etched in the deadwax, that appears on Sinatra- Reprise original pressings before Warner Bros purchased Reprise.
Closest to Sinatra* - Basie* - Sinatra - Basie: An Historic Musical First, which appears to have the same labels, but is distinct because the pressing ring goes thru different letters on the labels. Different by an 1/8th", the groove passes beneath Frank's right eye and over his left.
Runouts are etched ➀-1 here and 2-1 on Sinatra* - Basie* - Sinatra - Basie: An Historic Musical First without the cursive-sideways ƒ. That suggests that Sinatra* - Basie* - Sinatra - Basie: An Historic Musical First is a repress of this submission.
Released in a gatefold cover.
