Charlie Parker Memorial, Vol. 2 is an LP record by Charlie Parker, released posthumously by Savoy Records. Several tracks on this album had been previously released on other formats (78 rpm records, 7 inch EPs and 10 inch LPs), but is the first 12-inch release of these master takes. It contains selections from five sessions recorded between 1945 and 1948, and contains several previously unreleased alternate takes from these sessions.

These 1991 digital remasters of Charlie Parker's Savoy recordings are for the most part extremely clean-sounding, allowing the listener to check out the work of the definitive bebop master without feeling like they've tuned in to the Scratchy Record Hour. The cuts on VOLUME 2 were recorded between 1944 and 1948 with a band that included Miles Davis on trumpet and Max Roach on drums, with either John Lewis or Bud Powell on piano and Curly Russell, Tommy Potter or Nelson Boyd on bass.

Kamau is an album by trumpeter Charles Sullivan (who had changed his name to Kamau Adilifu) which was recorded in 1995 and released on the Arabesque label. Limelight Records was a jazz record label and subsidiary of Mercury Records started in 1962. The catalogue included music by Art Blakey, Dizzy Gillespie, Earl Hines, Milt Jackson, Gerry Mulligan, and Oscar Peterson. Originally headed by Quincy Jones, its activities were directed by the producer Jack Tracy. Though mainly a jazz label, it also released rock, experimental, electronic, and Indian music.
