Camp Cope - How To Socialise and Make Friends FLAC album

Опубликовано: 2 мар. 2018 г. 'How to Socialise & Make Friends' by Camp Cope out March 2nd, 2018 on Run For Cover Records.

We are so super jazzed to see Australian emo-punk trio CAMP COPE perform at Laneway Festival NZ on Monday!

And I heard it from a friend That he talks to the primary school kids through the fence Yeah you shoulda seen his book collection It was all ‘how to socialise and how to make friends’ Yeah I guess we both got our problems And areas to improve And I know one of mine is to go a night without sympathising. with you I can see myself living without you I can see myself living without you I can see myself living without you I can see myself living without you and being fine For the rest of my life Its just me on that bike Yeah and I’ll wave to you as I ride by.

The members of Camp Cope are reluctant revolutionaries according to another headline, and the second half of the album hints at what they could be singing about if all the things that happen to women didn’t get in the way. Moments in the first half can be genuinely playful, like a random possible reference to "Handlebars" by Flobots on the title track. This is the same band that wrote a song called Lost (Season One) and titled their album How To Socialize and Make Friends

By the final track, How to Socialise & Make Friends shows that Camp Cope are driven by the band unapologetically being themselves. All in all, "How to Socialize and Make Friends" is above average, so to speak, an acceptable album, a perfect sound for festivals, governed by the chemistry that the ensemble emanates from behind the failure and the half-forgotten victory beneath the cloth. xpand. 1 of 1 users found this helpful.

Words cannot do this album justice, but here's a feeble try: sublime guitar playing, beautiful singing, and heart-wrenching stories of being lost and being found by and wrestling with the Almighty. The first song off Camp Cope’s, How to Socialise & Make Friends, is a powerful song about sexism in the music industry. In an interview with Pitchfork, band frontwoman Georgia Maq said about the song: It was so cathartic to release that and be validated by people being like, This is my experience! I needed to do it, especially after the last year and a half. Since the last record was released, we just got criticized about everything.
