The Allman Brothers Band - The Road Goes On Forever FLAC album
The Road Goes On Forever (Disc 1) Released: 2001 Label: Mercury Track List 1. Don't Want You No More (00:00) (Written by Spencer Davis and Edward Hardin) . .
The Road Goes On Forever was The Allman Brothers Band's first compilation album, a two-LP set released in 1975. It featured songs from the Allmans' first five albums. The album's title is a line from "Midnight Rider. Black Hearted Woman" (Gregg Allman) – 5:18. Dreams" (Gregg Allman) – 7:19. Whipping Post" (Gregg Allman) – 5:22. Midnight Rider" (Gregg Allman, Robert Payne) – 3:00.
The initial release of The Road Goes on Forever was solid, containing the simple basics of the Allmans' Capricorn recordings. The expanded version that Mercury released in 2001 improves it considerably by almost doubling its running length with 13 bonus tracks and sprawling over two full CDs. This gives plenty of space to showcase the Allmans at their unrestrained best, capturing some of their finest concert jams while sketching a full portrait of their time at Capricorn.

I'm not sure if that is the correct side 1 etchings for the first pressing but there are no other US releases in the database as of yet with the 2CP-0164 cat that isn't a promo. A nice mix of songs representing the early days of the original band and formatted nicely! Rispondi Avvertimi Helpful.
The Road Goes on Forever. Gregg Allman wrote and sang the words in Midnight Rider, and his Allman Brothers Band (ABB) adopted them as a motto, and for good reason: despite the death of two founding members, two breakups and an acrimonious parting with guitarist Dickey Betts, this summer the band is marking its 40th anniversary and doing so in high style. Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks, who have now played together for nine years in the ABB, form a dynamic, explosive duo that blows away the competition. In that respect, some things in the Allman Brothers Band never change
It featured songs from the Allmans' first five albums.

It is notable for the track "The Road Goes On Forever" which has become one of Keen's signature songs and has been covered by other bands including the country supergroup The Highwaymen. All tracks written by Robert Earl Keen, except where noted. Sing One For Sister" – 3:03. The Road Goes On Forever" – 5:01. Sonora's Death Row" (Kevin Farrell) – 4:31. Goes was founded in the 10th century on the edge of a creek: de Korte Gos (the Short Gos). The village grew fast, and in the early 12th century it had a market square and a church devoted to Mary Magdalene. In 1405 Goes received city rights from William, Duke of Bavaria, by his right as count of Holland, and in 1417 it was allowed to build town walls.
