Picking our list of the Top 100 '70s Rock Albums was no easy task, if only because that period boasted such sheer diversity. The decade saw rock branch into a series of intriguing new subgenres, beginning, at the dawn of the '70s, with heavy metal. Singer-songwriters came into their own; country-rock flourished. The era ended with the revitalizing energy of punk and New Wave. No list would be complete without climbing onto every one of those limbs

Can't You Hear Me Knocking" is a song by English rock band the Rolling Stones from their 1971 album Sticky Fingers. The song is over seven minutes long, and begins with a Keith Richards open-G tuned guitar intro. At two minutes and forty-three seconds, an instrumental break begins, with Rocky Dijon on congas; tenor saxophonist Bobby Keys performs an extended saxophone solo over the guitar work of Richards and Mick Taylor, punctuated by the organ work of Billy Preston.

Beat rock and rock and roll basically sound like Beatles or Pink Floyd's first album. All of it is 50s and 60s genres. I prefer Psychedelic Rock and Progressive Rock from the 70s. 2019-06-29 12:02. I can't understand, where did you find here any fun thing. Well, I just faced reality.

Really great compilation with a well chosen track selection. Fantastic either if you want to start to dive into African psych or if you just want one record of this fascinating but also (with regard to albums) quite limited (stylewise) genre. After listening to this compilation, you wish all these obscure LPs they keep digging out were this great.
