When a female rapper goes around calling herself Overweight Pooch, people are likely to assume either one of two things: either she has a low self-image and suffers from a lack of self-esteem, or she's so darn confident that giving herself such a moniker doesn't even faze her in the least. Felipe "Waxx" Delgado (born April 6, 1969) is an American DJ, songwriter and producer from the south side of Chicago, Illinois later based in Phoenix, Arizona. He is primarily known for his discovery of House Music/R&B Diva, CeCe Peniston, also a founder and pioneer of Arizona Hip Hop/R&B and Dance, and his collaborative works with friend, also from Chicago, fellow producer Rodney K. Jackson.
Female Preacher is the debut, and to date the only album recorded by Tonya Davis, a US rapper better known as Overweight Pooch, which was released in 1991 on A&M Records. Though, the record indicated that Pooch had some potential, her album didn't go far commercially. Three songs were issued on single including a promo release, "Hip House Party", initially also promoted on Jam Harder: The A&M Underground Dance Compilation in 1990. In 1991, she released her only album to date Female Preacher on A&M Records, and scored a moderate commercial success with the single "I Like It", which charted at number on the . Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, and at in the UK Singles Chart.
